overwhelmingly asked: This isn't a question, but as a fellow animation fan (from Disney animations to Japanese Animes), I wanted to hear your thoughts about this short animated clip, 'La Maison en Petits Cubes' (Tsumiki no Ie). It won some Academy Award in 2009, but I somehow feel that there are too few people who know about it, and I'm starting to wonder whether I am the only one who liked this...

Some things I noticed: Works of Hayao Miyazaki
Haku (Spirited Away) and Howl (Howl’s moving Caslte) - similar hairstyles Sophie (Howl’s Moving Castle) and Sheeta (Laputa: Castle in the Sky) - their hair got shorter towards the end of the film Domes on architectural structures (Laputa and Howl’s Moving Castle) Kiki’s dress resembles Sheeta’s Satsuki (My Neighbor Totoro) looks like Kiki He likes steampunk? ...
